VISA ON ARRIVAL FACILITY
FOR NATIONALS OF BELGIUM AND LUXEMBOURG

 

As of 01 August 2005, the nationals of the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg could visit Indonesia with the facility of visa on arrival (VOA). Through the decree of the Minister of Justice and Human Rights No. M.01.IZ.01.10 dated 8 July 2005, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia has decided to grant the facility of VOA to the nationals of 13 other countries, including Belgium and Luxembourg. The decree brings the number of foreign countries being granted VOA facility to 36.

            The complete lists of countries which are granted facility of visa on arrival are as follows:

Argentina, Australia, *Austria, *Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, *Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, *India, *Ireland, Italy, Japan, *Kuwait, *Luxembourg, *Maldives, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, *Portugal, *Qatar, *People's Republic of China, *Russia, *Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, *Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan Territory, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, USA. (*New countries granted VOA facility)

 

Entry requirements for Visa on Arrival:

1.     Passport valid for a minimum of 6 (six) months as from the date of entry into Indonesia

2.     Onward or return tickets

3.     Visitors must enter through the following airports or seaports in Indonesia that have VOA facilities:

Airports:   Soekarno-Hatta (Jakarta); Juanda (Surabaya); Ngurah Rai   (Denpasar); Polonia (Medan); Sam Ratulangi (Manado); Sultan Syarif Kasim II (Pekanbaru); Tabing (Padang).

Seaports: Tanjung Priok (Jakarta); Sekupang, Batu Ampar, Nongsa, Marina Teluk Senimba and Batam Center (Batam); Bandar Bintan Telani Lagoi and Bandar Sri Udana Lobam (Tanjung Uban); Sri Bintan Pura (Tangjung Pinang); Belawan; Sibolga; Yos Sudarso (Dumai); Teluk Bayur (Padang); Padang Bai and Benoa (Bali); Jayapura; Bitung; Tanjung Balai Karimun; Tanjung Mas (Semarang); Tenau (Kupang); Pare-Pare; Soekarno-Hatta (Makassar); and Maumere (East Nusa Tenggara).

 

            It should be noted that this visa on arrival facility is granted for a minimum visit of 7 (seven) days and a maximum visit of 30 (thirty) days, and may only be extended upon approval of the Director General of Immigration of the Republic of Indonesia due to natural disaster, illness or accident. This visa cannot be transferred to another type of visa, and is valid only for touristic visit. For Belgian and Luxembourg nationals who visit Indonesia for purposes other than touristic, are still required to apply for the relevant visas at the Indonesian Embassy, Brussels.
